Cancellation Policy

At Art Play Hub, we are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and creative environment for all students. This policy outlines our expectations and procedures in alignment with the Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act 1998 (NSW) and the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012 (NSW), along with our studio-specific guidelines. 1. Child Safety and Welfare All staff and instructors hold valid NSW Working With Children Checks (WWCC) and are trained in child protection protocols. We are committed to reporting any suspicion of abuse or risk of significant harm in accordance with mandatory reporting laws in NSW. Our studio is a zero-tolerance environment for bullying, aggression, or unsafe behaviour. Children who are visibly unwell—particularly with a fever, flu-like symptoms, vomiting, or contagious illness—will be sent home in the interest of the wellbeing of all students and staff. Parents and carers are expected to provide accurate emergency contact information and advise us of any medical, behavioural, or special needs upon enrolment. 2. Code of Conduct We strive to maintain a positive and respectful environment. The following behaviours will not be tolerated: Repeated disruptive conduct Physical or verbal aggression toward staff or other students Rude, offensive, or disrespectful behaviour Intentional damage to property If a student displays persistent misconduct despite reasonable intervention and redirection: Parents will be contacted and informed of the behaviour. A behavioural management plan may be implemented. In severe or repeated cases, the child may be permanently removed from the program at the discretion of management. No refund will be given. 3. Attendance, Missed Classes & Refunds Enrolment secures your child's place in the class for the term and is non-refundable. We do not offer make-up classes, repositions, or refunds for missed sessions. If the studio must cancel a class (e.g., due to staff illness), a full credit or rescheduled class will be provided. 4. Drop-Off and Pick-Up Children must be signed in and out by a parent or authorised carer unless previously arranged in writing. Late pick-up may incur a fee if staff are required to remain on site past class time. 5. Photography and Social Media We may occasionally photograph class activities for promotional purposes. If you do not wish for your child to be included, please inform us in writing.
